Dylan Ben-Israel hired to write “Reconcile”, based on the lives of Dan Cherry and Hong My.

Los Angeles, California – Aurelia Entertainment’s Shaun De Wet and famed photographer John Fleck have announced that they have hired Dylan Ben-Israel to write the screenplay for their new film, “Reconcile”. The film will tell the true story of Dan Cherry and Nguyen Hong My, two former enemies who later became close friends.

Cherry, an American fighter pilot, and My, a Vietnamese fighter pilot, met in the skies over Vietnam during the Vietnam War. After Cherry shot down My’s plane, the two men later met in person and developed a deep friendship based on mutual respect and understanding.

“Reconcile” will follow the lives of Cherry and My, before, during and after the war, and will explore the themes of forgiveness, reconciliation, and the power of friendship. The film is being produced by De Wet, who has worked together with Ben-Israel, as well as Fleck and Wendy Musser.

“We are thrilled to have Dylan on board to write the screenplay for ‘Reconcile’,” said Fleck. “This is a powerful and important story that deserves to be told, and we’re confident that Dylan is the right writer to bring it to life.”

Ben-Israel, who has worked on a number of successful projects throughout his career, is excited to be writing the screenplay for “Reconcile”. “This is an incredible story, and I’m honored to be a part of it,” said Ben-Israel. “The friendship between these two men is truly inspiring, and I can’t wait to explore it on the page.”

With De Wet producing and Ben-Israel writing, “Reconcile” is poised to be an incredibly powerful and moving film.

As the film industry continues to explore stories of forgiveness, reconciliation, and understanding, “Reconcile” promises to be a standout film that will inspire and move audiences around the world.
